WHO GETS TO TAKE THEIR CHROMEBOOK HOME FOR THE SUMMER?
Students that paid insurance for the 2015-16 school year will be keeping their Chromebooks over the summer. Students who have unpaid tech fines and students who are in check in/check out will not be taking their chromebooks home over the summer. If you already know you will not be attending school here next year, please turn in your chromebook/charger/bag before you leave school after your last class.
WHAT IF I MOVE OUT OF THE DISTRICT OVER THE SUMMER?
If your family decides to move to a new district over the summer, please drop your Chromebook, bag, and charger off at the Central Office Monday-Thursday between 9:00am and 2:00pm. Central Office is located across the street from the high school.

Yes, your Chromebook WILL be monitored over the summer. If any flagged activity in violation of the High School Student Acceptable Use Policy is detected, you will be put into restricted access or your account will be disabled, depending on the severity of the violation. Your account will not be taken out of restricted access/re-enabled until a conversation happens with one of the Principals when you return to school in August.WHAT IF MY CHROMEBOOK BREAKS OVER THE SUMMER?
There will be NO chromebook repairs done over Summer Break, so please take very good care of your device. If you do damage your Chromebook or if it becomes inoperable over the summer, please put it in a safe place for the rest of the summer and bring it with you when you pay your insurance in early August. You can drop off your chromebook with the tech department on those dates and they will try to get it repaired and back to you before school starts.
SUMMER DOS AND DON'TS:-Keep your chromebook in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.-Do not leave your Chromebook in a hot car or outside in the heat/sun for long periods of time.-If a key pops off, don't pick off the rubber nub that's underneath the key.-If your Chromebook is lost or stolen over the summer, you must file a police report and inform the tech department at 673-6010 ext. 286. Please refer to the Acceptable Use Policy for information about what to do if a chromebook is lost or stolen.

Please print out the first page of the Acceptable Use Policy & Insuranceand bring it with you on your AUP/Insurance Collection day in August.Please make sure:-your parent/guardian has signed your AUP.-your parent/guardian has given permission for you to use the school's technology. (includes chromebooks, desktop computers, iPads, etc.)-you have the $25 insurance money with you if you plan to take your chromebook home. (cash or check only)
All enrolled students must turn in a signed AUP each year.ARE YOU HAVING ISSUES TYPING IN A CELL ON A SPREADSHEET?If you installed this extension from the Chrome Store, DELETE it and then restart your chromebook:After the Deadline (check spelling, style, and grammar in your browser)-causes the disappearing text issue in Sheets and mild lagging when using the trackpad.IS THE TRACKPAD LAGGING WHEN YOU SCROLL OR CLICK?If you are having trackpad issues, disable this extension and restart your chromebook. If disabling the Camera extension doesn't help, please come to the HelpDesk.Camera (take crazy pictures with your web camera)-may cause jerkiness and lagging when using the trackpad. If you have this issue, disable the camera extension and see if that helps.If you don't know how to disable/delete an extension, come down to the HelpDesk.
